# ISOMITTED

This function checks whether the value in a [LAMBDA](/spreadjs/docs/v17/formulareference/FormulaFunctions/other-functions/lambda-function) is missing.

## Syntax

`ISOMITTED(argument)`

## Arguments

Specify a value you want to test, such as a LAMBDA parameter.

## Data Types

Returns a boolean value of TRUE or FALSE.

## Examples

`LAMBDA(x,y,ISOMITTED(y))(1,)` returns TRUE.
`LAMBDA(x,y,ISOMITTED(y))(1,2)` returns FALSE.
