IMPOWER
This function returns a complex number raised to a power.
Syntax
IMPOWER(complexnum, powernum)
Arguments
This function has these arguments:
Argument | Description |
|---|---|
complexnum | Complex number to raise to a power |
powernum | Power to which to raise the complex number |
The power (powernum argument) can be integer, negative, or fractional.
Remarks
An error is returned if complexnum is not in the form "x+yi" or "x+yj" or if powernum is non-numeric. For more information, refer to Complex Numbers.
Data Types
Accepts number and string data. Returns string data.
