T.DIST

This function returns the probability for the t-distribution.

Syntax

T.DIST(x, deg, cumulative)

Arguments

This function has these arguments:

Argument

Description

x

Numeric value used to evaluate the distribution

deg

Number of degrees of freedom to characterize the distribution; if not an integer, the number is truncated

cumulative

A logical value that determines the form of the function.

If cumulative is TRUE, the function returns the cumulative distribution function; if FALSE, it returns the probability density function

Remarks

The #VALUE! error value is returned if x or deg is non-numeric.

Data Types

Accepts numeric data for x and deg arguments. Returns numeric data.

Examples

T.DIST(A1,B45,TRUE)

T.DIST(0.245,2,TRUE) gives the result 1.4146507236438
